Privacy

This is a personal portfolio. It has no accounts, no database and no forms, and it sets no cookies of its own. Two anonymous measurement scripts run on it, and this page says exactly what they record.

What is measured

Both of the scripts below are provided by Vercel, which also hosts the site. Both are served from this domain rather than a third-party one, and neither sets a cookie.

Vercel Web Analytics

Counts page views. It uses no cookies at all: a visitor is identified by a hash derived from the incoming request, that identifier is not tied to an IP address, and it is discarded after 24 hours. Each recorded view stores:

  • The time of the event
  • The URL and its dynamic path, for example /projects/[slug]
  • The referring page, if there was one
  • Query parameters, filtered
  • Approximate location: country, region and city
  • Device operating system and version
  • Browser and version
  • Device type - mobile, tablet or desktop
  • The version of the analytics script

Vercel Speed Insights

Measures how quickly pages render, so slow ones can be found and fixed. It is anonymous and cannot reconstruct a browsing session or identify anyone. Each measurement stores:

  • The route and the URL
  • Network speed, for example 4g
  • Browser, device type and operating system
  • Country, as a two-letter code
  • The Web Vital measured, its value, and which element it is attributed to
  • The version of the measurement package
  • The time the event was received

What is not collected

There is nothing to log in to, so there are no accounts and no passwords. There is no database and no content management system - every word on this site is a file in its source repository. There is no contact form: the contact page links to email, WhatsApp and LinkedIn, and using any of them is your choice, not a submission to this site.

No advertising, no advertising identifiers, no cross-site tracking, no profiling, and no data broker relationship. Nothing collected here is sold, rented or shared for marketing, because none of it identifies anyone in the first place.

What is stored in your browser

Exactly one value: `function(){throw Error("Attempted to call THEME_STORAGE_KEY() from the server but THEME_STORAGE_KEY is on the client. It's not possible to invoke a client function from the server, it can only be rendered as a Component or passed to props of a Client Component.")}`, holding `light` or `dark` when you use the theme toggle in the header. It lives in your browser's local storage, it is read before the page paints so the theme does not flash, and it is never sent to a server. Clearing your site data removes it, and the site then follows your operating system's setting.

Who else is involved

The full list

  • Vercel - hosting, plus the two measurement scripts above. Both are served from this domain, not from a third-party host.
  • YouTube - only on a project page that has a trailer, and only if you open one. The player is embedded through youtube-nocookie.com. No trailer is loaded anywhere else on the site.
  • Nobody else. The monospace typeface is downloaded at build time and served from this domain, so no request reaches Google Fonts. The GitHub repository statistics and the Uni-Rate user count are fetched by the server when the site is built, never by your browser.

Your choices

Blocking scripts costs you nothing here. Every page is rendered on the server, so the text, the links and the navigation all work with JavaScript disabled - you lose the theme toggle and the 3D gallery, and nothing else.
